I'm the Branding + Editorial Manager for TEDx, an initiative of TED, which lets individuals around the world host TED-like events to highlight the amazing voices from their community.
I manage the branding/positioning of TEDx events, and TEDx editorial. I work to provide internal resources to organizers and strategize on how to sustainably grow our global community.
I also share the amazing stories, talks and images from these events on the TEDx Tumblr
Before that, I ran Pie in the Park, a yearly event in Prospect Park, published a book through a Kickstarter campaign, hosted a pie event in collaboration with Kickstarter at Smorgasburg in Williamsburg. I directed the creation of the Doyle & Doyle e-commerce website and built a marketing + communications strategy to go with it.
I'm interested in the local on a global scale, community building, and how new technologies and new media can make that easier.
I love learning, yoga, reading and travel.
I'm American, je parle Francais et eu estou aprendando portugues.
“Just a reminder, ladies, that you may graduate from Wellesley, then Yale Law School, become one of the most powerful and influential lawyers in the country, then the First Lady of the United States, then a U.S. Senator from New York, come this close to being the Democratic nominee for president yourself, and ultimately serve as the Secretary of State, but you’ll always be a woman — an emotional, unhinged, woman.”
Writer Luke O’Neil, from the article Here’s the New York Post with the Most Sexist Headline of the Year on the New York Post’s cover of Hillary Clinton (with a scared-looking Bill in the corner) testifying during the congressional hearing over the embassy attack in Benghazi.
